Job Title:

Patient Service Representative

Overview:

The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. They are responsible for checking-in/checking out patients, making appointments, setting up and maintaining patient charts, and obtaining notes from referring physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Check in patients: Verify insurance, demographics, and phone number; update information in HCIT, Impact, and Allscripts systems
Collect co-pays, balances, and deductibles as applicable
Scan all necessary patient information (ins cards, physician referrals, Picture IDs, demographics, HIPAA, privacy policy)

Checkout Process:

Referral to other MDs
Collect co-pays, balances, and deductibles as applicable
Scan all chart notes and corresponding information pertaining to the visit

Additional Duties:

Chart prep: Ensure all charts are prepped with forms, referrals, and printed schedules for the next business day
Remain professional at all times with patients, staff, and referring doctors
Assist in keeping the waiting room neat

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required
One year of work experience in a medical office preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology and customer service experience preferred

Estimated Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year
