- Develop and execute a robust investor relations strategy and framework to highlight the Company's financial performance and growth initiatives to investors and analysts
- Maintain and develop content for corporate presentations, press releases, website and related scripts for investors, investor conferences, road shows, site visits, and other activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams both internally and externally to ensure accurate and timely delivery of investor-related information
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to prepare Senior Management for media appearances and conferences
- Cultivate relationships with existing and potential investors, proactively seeking opportunities for engagement, responding to inquiries promptly, and fostering positive interactions
- Manage and contribute to the preparation, review, and delivery of all earnings materials, quarterly and annual reports, and materials for the Annual General Meeting
- Assist Executive Team in marketing the Company to potential investors at various industry and analyst-sponsored events
- Prepare monthly IR reports focused on peer monitoring, shareholder ownership analytics, and ad-hoc reports as requested
- Develop a thorough understanding of all aspects of the company's business in order to be able to speak on behalf of the company to investors and analysts when appropriate
- Post-graduate degree in business administration (MBA), marketing, finance or related field
- Minimum of 6 years prior experience with Investor Relations, including leadership roles and a deep understanding of capital markets
- Strong sense of financial literacy and comfortable with leading the principles, requirements, and practices of disclosures in a public company environment
- Exceptional communicator with a proven ability to shape the narrative of a company with analysts and/or investors
- Ability to discern between confidential and non-confidential information
- Ability to grow and maintain an extensive network of industry contacts
- Previous experience in the mineral exploration or mining industry is preferred
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of database management software and financial tools
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle pressure effectively and manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of work product and adhering to deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills is a must
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%

THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Director of Investor Relations, the ideal candidate is responsible for developing and executing an investor relations strategy to effectively communicate Ivanhoe Electric's value proposition, progress, status, and plans to the investment community to support the financial success of the company. The Director of Investor Relations primary responsibility is to support all forms of communications with the investment community and stakeholders. The role will also work closely with the Accounting and Finance, Legal and ESG, Technical, and Communications departments. This position is based in the corporate headquarters located in Tempe, Arizona.
