    Full-Time Paraeducator in Exeter, NH

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one settings, as directed by classroom teachers or special education staff.
    • Assist students with academic tasks, such as reading, writing, math, and technology, adapting materials and instruction to meet individual learning needs.
    • Support students with disabilities or special needs in accessing the curriculum, implementing accommodations and modifications as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
    • Foster positive relationships with students, providing encouragement, motivation, and reinforcement to promote engagement and learning.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to implement instructional strategies and interventions that support students' academic and social-emotional development.
    • Assist with classroom management and behavior support, implementing positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) and reinforcing expectations for student behavior.
    • Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other team members regarding students' progress, needs, and goals, contributing to the development and implementation of individualized support plans.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Previous experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
    • Knowledge of instructional techniques, behavior management strategies, and educational technology tools.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
    • Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to supporting the diverse needs of students.
