Job Description:

As the Housekeeping Director at The Nicewonder Inn, you will be responsible for leading and managing our housekeeping team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. With at least 5 years of experience in housekeeping management, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.

Lead and manage a team of housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, laundry attendants, and public areas attendants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective performance and productivity.

Establish and maintain cleaning schedules, checklists, and quality control measures to ensure that all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained according to established standards and guidelines.

Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, amenities, and equipment, ordering replenishments as needed to support daily operations and guest service requirements.

Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Respond promptly to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns, addressing any issues or complaints with professionalism and courtesy to ensure guest satisfaction.

Collaborate with other departments, including front desk, maintenance, and food and beverage, to coordinate housekeeping services and support overall hotel operations and guest service initiatives.

Uphold the Nicewonder Inn's standards of hospitality and service excellence, ensuring that every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable, and memorable stay.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.

Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability.

Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
