- Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding
- Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests
- Setting up and maintaining patient rooms
- Ordering and stocking of supplies
- At least 6 months of pediatric CVICU experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required. Ontrack participants are required to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program

This position will be working 48 hours every two weeks, rotating day/evenings, 8 hours shifts and every other weekend.

The Nursing Station Technician in the Pediatric CVICU is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties.

Experience
AND ONE or more of the following:
Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
OR
Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician)
OR
Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
OR
Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position
