    Role OverviewWe are seeking several experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our team and support the development of engineering and construction packages for facility expansion and buildouts.

    The role will be the primary lead on specification of fixed/rotating equipment including pumps, piping, storage tanks, and pressure vessels.

    This person will report to Nexus Circulars Lead Mechanical Engineer.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Design and specify piping systems between unit operationsSpecify process equipment including pumps, tanks, and vesselsReview and approve Vendor/Contractor vessel calculationsMake recommendations on other equipment as necessary based on relevant codes and standardsDevelop maintenance procedures for pumps, tanks, vessels, and piping for reliable operationDevelop inspection plans for pumps, tanks, vessels, and pipingEnsure designs and details are safe for field erection and use, with constructability in mindParticipate in the review of Management of Changes, PHA Action Requests, Construction Information Requests, and Change Order RequestsLead equipment vendor qualification process for new fabricatorsAssist with local, state, and federal permitting applicationsPossible travel to other Nexus locations as required (~10%)

    Minimum Requirements:
    BS in Mechanical Engineering3-7 years recent experience with piping design and specification3-7 years recent experience with fixed/rotating equipment design and specification3-7 years recent experience with API standards related to pumps, tanks, vessels, and piping (API 510, 570, 650, years of recent experience with AutoCAD and 3D modelingRecent experience designing chemical process operations in manufacturing or petrochem
