Compiles, reviews, analyzes, and verifies sales documents.
Obtains, reviews, and verifies necessary closing documents for residential single-family and multi-family homebuyers to coordinate and ensure timely and accurate completion of scheduled homebuyer closings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtains and reviews closing documents; updates and maintains customer files to include surveys, certifications, loan approvals, deeds, etc. Performs computer data entry of information and prepares appropriate reports as required.
Provides comparable information and documentation for property appraisers.
Acts as a liaison between the Construction Supervisor, M/I Title, M/I Financial, Outside Lenders, Realtors, and homebuyers relative to pre-settlement and closing information.
Schedules, organizes, and monitors pre-settlement dates and closing appointments; coordinates such with appropriate internal departments as well as with attorneys and mortgage companies.
Send out closing letters.
Verifies home buyer deposits and final purchase price to complete seller's figures. Approves Closing statements/HUD statements.
Fill out FHA/VA required documents.
Generate Escrow Letters for any closings with exterior items not completed at time of closing.
Maintain house and mailbox keys.
Work with outside title companies when applicable.
Order finals on utilities for homes prior to close.
Generate and distribute weekly projected report for closing meeting.
Generate and distribute monthly reports.
Performs additional assignments as requested by supervisor.
Creates physical closing folders and closing packages.
Requirements
Minimum Education Experience:
High school graduate with basic academic and practical skills gained through school curriculum combined with at least 2-3 years of related work experience and/or training; general knowledge of home building industry within the scope of sales contracts and the understanding of closing procedures and practices.
Skills and Abilities:
General office and administrative skills to assist in the processing of departmental workflow.
Customer-service oriented with professional and courteous attitude.
Good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization; good organizational skills and detail-oriented aptitude.
JDE experience preferred.
