- Become familiar with Wagstaff equipment, associated production flow, and business software with respect to standard products. Apply this knowledge to the production of equipment as assigned
- Read, understand, and interpret electrical drawings
- Complete quality documentation for equipment production according to department and corporate procedures
- Become proficient at estimating hours to complete production tasks
- Become proficient at meeting goals with respect to planned hours and production schedule
- Become proficient at interfacing with Designers, Engineers, other Panel Builders, and other personnel as required to effectively build quality equipment
- Build and wire control panels
- Mechanical assembly of power distribution panels, operator control consoles, and so forth
- Install electrical conduit, pull wire, bend and install pneumatic piping, install motors, and perform other associated tasks of building industrial electrical/automated equipment
- Electrically and mechanically test, calibrate, and perform various quality control and process control functions on finished product
- Analyze and troubleshoot typical systems and electrical issues
- Work with Production team to integrate and make connections with finished electrical panels utilizing best methods and cost effective processes
- Provide feedback to engineers and designers, including the red-lining of drawings and NPR tags, to correct and continually improve equipment design
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
- Abide by company policies
- In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
- May perform various field service responsibilities, which may involve site visits to assist customers with electrical issues
- Periodic domestic and international travel required depending upon customer and company business needs
- Train other team members in support of basic departmental processes and equipment production methods
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Acquires basic knowledge and develops skills pertinent to job duties
- Applies prescribed and/or standard techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks
- Exercises limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional work
- Acquires an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
- Acquires an understanding of standard business software applications
- Prepares complete quality documents for assembled equipment
- Acquires an understanding of fundamental electrical principles
- Acquires an understanding of typical electrical codes and standards
- Coordinates with other panel builders as well as designers, engineers, and members of other departments as necessary
- Receives specific direction on assigned tasks, and general review of all aspects of work
- Receives specific direction with respect to day to day task priorities
- Effective oral and written communication skills

Job Summary
Accurately build quality automated equipment by interpreting electrical drawings.
Primary Job Responsibilities
While performing the duties of this job on Wagstaff premises, work is performed primarily in an adequately lit, well ventilated, climate controlled general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.
This job may require occasional or more frequent interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor. While on the shop floor, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of moving equipment and parts, and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with shop floor managers/employees may be necessary before entering the shop floor, and use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required on the shop floor. The noise level on the shop floor is often loud.
This job may also require occasional or more frequent travel to and work at customer sites. While at customer sites, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of moving equipment and parts, and other risks associated with a construction and/or manufacturing environment. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with customer managers/employees may be necessary before entering the customer site, and use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required at customer sites.
