As part of the Quantum team, you will be a key contributor to the future of space-based data and logistics services via our state-of-the-art spacecraft platforms.
Quantum Space is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for the design of spacecraft at Quantum Space. In this hands-on role, you will lead spacecraft mechanical design from concept development through launch.You will work with a fast-paced and tight-knit team of engineers and scientists to truly change the future of space technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Design and draft a wide assortment of flight hardware and ground support equipment, including:Spacecraft structureAvionics enclosuresFluid systemsHarnessingAssembly and lift toolingGenerate, review, approve, and collaborate on designs of components and mechanical systemsManage mechanical interfacesConfigure test and flight top-level assembliesEvaluate technical risks, cross functional issues, and mitigation actionsCreate content for design reviews, tests, and verification activitiesGenerate environmental test plansSupport manufacturing, I&T, and launch site operationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of relevant design experienceExperienced generating part and assembly drawingsProficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME y14.5Knowledge of commercial, industry, and NASA specifications and standardsNICE
