    Description

    Job Summary

    The Mammography Supervisor supervises the operational aspects of specialty areas of Mammography, and ensures efficient performance of patient exams. Assists with Mammography compliance aspects with Supervisor(s) of off-site Clinical sites. Supervises technical and support staff, in Mammography Department. Collaborates with Imaging Department Supervisors, Medical Director of Mammography and Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services in achievement of departmental goals.

    Work Experience:

    Eight years of experience in Mammography procedures such as Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, CT Scan, MRI or Ultrasound required.

    One year of management experience required.

    License/Registration/Certification:

    MRT Texas Certified Medical Radiological Technologist required;

    ARRT (R) (M) (B) (BD) required.

    CPR certified.

    Education and Training:

    Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences from an accredited Radiology school required.

    Completion of MQSA course required.

    Skills:

    1. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
    2. Effective oral and written communication skills.
    3. Ability to efficiently organize time to accomplish department's goals.
    4. Knowledgeable of radiology department policies and procedures.
    5. Proficient in use/knowledge of Hospital computer systems.
    6. Highly trained in specialty areas of Mammography. IE) Needle localizations, Stereotactic Biopsies, Ductograms, Quality Control, etc. preferred. Maintains Continuing Education Credits in Mammography courses.
