- Adheres to safe medication principles including look alike sound alike and high alert drugs. Responds appropriately to medication occurrences. Understands actions when identified.
- Ensures proper storage throughout the hospital, secures in accordance with policy law regulation refills replaces troubleshoots services labels inspects segregates outdated recalled medications from stock.
- Participates in evaluating the hospital's medication management system identifies areas for improvement.
- Safely accurately prepares all medications using proper techniques calculations precautions maintains documentation as required by departmental policy selection procurement ensures adherence formulary list process policies procedures regarding 340B Drug Pricing Program stores controlled substances prevents diversion accounts unused expired returned according automation applicable transports designated delivery locations established standards turnaround times minimal qualifications education diploma ged training program preferred completion related pharmacy technician experience hospital environment experience preferred registered through board certification within days ptc bcbased on minimum requirements this position hiring range usd 1955usd 3425 hr
