    **Data Stewardship Principal Consultant, Data Management** Data is a key component of Expedias travel platform. To unlock the full potential of Expedias data we are building capabilities that will enable consistent and trusted data exchange across the enterprise. Enterprise Data Management and Governance organization is looking for a Senior Data Stewardship Principal Consultant to help build a thriving data stewardship community to bring this vision into reality. As a Data Stewardship Principal Consultant, you will help coordinate and build a stewardship community from the various Expedia Group brands, define the success criteria and implement a Data Maturity Assessment to measure the maturity of the data management practice, and contribute to the data stewardship strategy. You will help identify and work closely with the various brands data stewards along with our data governance group to ensure adherence to our data management policies and procedures. You will also partner with our enterprise metadata group to ensure that the various stewards are contributing and verifying the metadata they own. You will actively engage with data producers, data consumers, and engineers to ensure that data management strategy is converted into meaningful roadmaps and requirements. During development you will act as a liaison between data consumers and engineers, make scoping decisions, and help the stewards in the data producer teams deliver consistent and actionable metadata to enable the implementation of solid data quality processes. You will have an opportunity to acquire vast knowledge of our data ecosystem by working together with the data stewards from diverse global teams, spanning technical functions, like data producers and consumers, to business functions, like marketing, finance, customer experience, and legal. **Who you are:** 8+ year experience in the data management and stewardship space Experience with master data management and data governance practices and processes at-scale. Expertise in eliciting and documenting features & requirements from both business and technical teams. Strong strategic perspective and ability to think through big-picture issues coupled with excellent execution to get things done in a fast-paced, environment Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey sophisticated and abstract concepts to both technical and business teams. Outstanding influencing skills, including experience working within a large matrix organization Exceptional collaboration, business insight, and customer advocacy skills.

    **What you will do:**

    Build the vision, strategy and roadmaps for the stewardship community that enforce Expedias data standards and ensure single source of truth and data integrity for reporting and decision making.

    Lead the process to identify, enlist and train the data stewards for the various domains.

    Lead reoccurring meetings to bring the identified data stewards with the intent of building a thriving data stewardship community which will help drive the strategic data management vision.

    Create & help publish a monthly stewardship newsletter to educate the data community and senior leadership on the progress in the data management space.

    Own business outcomes and be responsible for hitting associated targets by improving, re-imagining, challenging status quo, and leading change.

    Define and manage implementation roadmaps to bring consumer and producer data assets to the required standard.

    Work across Expedia Group (data producers and consumers) to evangelize and apply data management practices to ensure data is being used in the most effective way to drive value creation.

    Perform industry research to evolve strategy, policy, and process.

    Solid understanding of data platforms and data strategies for large scale organizations.

    Solid understanding of Agile Project management concepts (preferable)

    Bachelors or higher in a STEM degree
