Wage: Up to $54,000 for Assistant Professor and up to $60,000 for Associate Professor, as per CBA

Description:
The University of Montana Western Division of Education welcomes applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor specializing in Literacy Education, with an emphasis on courses related to P-8 literacy instruction methods. Primary responsibilities will include teaching experientially based courses in education, including but not limited to, theory, curriculum, and methods of literacy education. Candidates will also have a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving culturally and linguistically diverse students. Courses may be taught in both online and/or face-to-face formats. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain professionalism, scholarly productivity, professional service, advising, and committee work.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will:

hold a doctorate in education with a P-8 literacy focus or a related field (ABD will be considered)
have demonstrated success teaching in face-to-face and online courses at the post-secondary level
have demonstrated the ability to work well as a member of a team
have taught for three or more years in a K-12 setting
demonstrated potential to effectively engage and collaborate with a diverse array of K-12 partners and stakeholders in teacher preparation
Preferred:
The successful candidate may:

have experience in the operation of a university-based reading clinic, used to support a master's level or bachelor's level (or both) degree in K-12 literacy
have experience working with diverse student populations
have the ability to embrace new teaching technologies
have previous experience with CAEP or AAQEP accreditation
