    Job DescriptionTimmons Group is seeking a Electrical Engineer III for our Electrical Design Group located in our Charlotte, NC office.

    The successful candidate will provide power engineering services to prepare engineering design packages for power system facilities and renewable energy developments.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    Works under the supervision of Project Managers or other staff for assigned projects to produce electrical engineering designsProvides input to senior engineering staff on design issues based on the results of calculations or engineering solutionsResponsible for completion of tasks and plans but is not authorized to sign/seal completed plans as an authorized representative of the companyAs an individual contributor, uses professional judgement to direct and independently complete assigned engineering designsActively assists the Project Manager and assigns tasks and schedules to Project Engineers I and II and project team members, answers questions, and monitors progressChecks the accuracy (formal and informal QA/QC) of assigned tasks completed by other engineering and technical staffAssists the client in bidding or contractor selection if authorized by the Project ManagerMonitors construction and supervises field personnel assigned to a task, data collection or a specific projectResponds to contractor questions and issues and prepares and issues project addendum as neededMust possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to apply professional knowledge to the solution of both routine and non-routine tasks and engineering activitiesRecommends and prepares change orders for the Project Managers reviewParticipates in the creation of engineering services proposals, including the calculation/estimation of time schedules and costs of the proposed workProvides technical and project leadership to direct activities of assigned professional and technical staff membersPerforms other duties as assignedSkills/Requirements include but are not limited to the following:Bachelors or masters degree in Electrical Engineering and/or related technical fieldIdeal candidates will have a minimum of seven years of professional electrical engineering experienceEngineer in Training (E.I.T) certification in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business is required and within one year of employment, must meet all requirements in order to be eligible to take the PEWorking knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.)



    Experience with CADD software, modeling, design, and/or analysis software preferredExperience with Power System economic evaluationsAbility to multi-task and function while working in either a team or individual environmentMust possess strong technical verbal and technical writing skills and be able to read and interpret technical literature and engineering plansMust possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to apply professional knowledge to the solution of both routine and non-routine tasks and engineering activitiesQualifications:
