Tax Manager


OFFICE LOCATION:
White Plains, NYSUMMARY/OBJECTIVEOur client, an outstanding and reputable Private Legal & Accounting Firm is seeking a Tax Manager. This candidate will be responsible for the firms tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes. Candidates must have experience with planning for pass-through entities designed for high-net-worth individuals.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be current with tax legislation.

Responsible for completion of federal and state income tax returns including all related analysis and supportResponsible for audits of federal and state tax income tax and state and local filingsConduct tax planningLiaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issuesEnsuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxesMaintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clientsManage, develop, train and mentor staff on tax projects.

Advise clients with recommendations on business and process improvements and serve as a business advisor to clientsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Bachelors degree in accounting. Masters degree in taxation preferred.

CPA or Enrolled AgentExperience with corporate and individual tax returnsCompliance experience helpfulAudit experience preferred but not requiredSeven or more years of related tax consulting experienceExperience with Partnership and Trust returnsEstate and Gift Tax returns helpfulKnowledge of S Corp returns helpfulExperience training and developing staffHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and under pressureAbility to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlinesTHIS POSITION OFFERS THE FOLLOWING:
