- Minimum of 6 years of experience
- College degree
- 6+ years of experience in workers' compensation claims
- SIP certificate from CA
- Administer workers' compensation claims, decide on compensability and benefits owed for long-term indemnity claims, oversee the accuracy of reserves, and submit essential paperwork to state entities.
- Formulate and execute strategies for workers' compensation claims until resolution, manage efforts for return to work, and authorize claim payments.
- Validate and process designated claims, establish benefits owed, and design strategies in line with the claim or client agreement.
- Manage subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
- Keep claimants and clients informed about claim actions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of claim files and proper coding of claims.
- Handle intricate lifetime medical and/or specified period medical claims, which include submissions to state agencies and physicians, and decide on appropriate treatments as advised by utilization review.
- Sustain professional relationships with clients.
- Execute other tasks as delegated.
- Support the company's quality initiatives.
- Willingness to travel when necessary.
