    The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing business support for Airgas Safety and Distribution Centers (DCs). The Financial Analyst will assist with budgeting and forecasting, inventory analysis, sales by major product group, margin analysis, operating cost analysis, capital expenditures, inventory management, logistics analysis, asset management, certain compliance related activities and other ad hoc analyses. This will require a professional that is data savvy with exceptionally strong analytical skills and has held a similar role in a corporate environment, preferably one with multiple locations that has financial reporting to division/corporate offices.

    Essential Functions:

    • Report and analyze financial and operating results, such as sales, gross margins, inventory analysis, operating expenses, asset utilization, capital expenditures, etc.
    • Utilize the various business reports and metrics to evaluate, interpret, and provide critical information in support of strategic and operating decisions.
    • Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
    • Prepare analyses related to local compensation programs, including gain sharing & various incentive programs.
    • Work closely with the CFO, Controller and finance support teams to better understand historical financial results, trends and validate forecast assumptions.
    • Perform extensive financial modeling in support of the business as well as Corporate FP&A.
    • Responsible for compliance with Company policies and procedures at the local level, evaluate and provide feedback for continuous improvement opportunities.
    • Work closely with the DC Network and Airgas Safety Call Centers in reviewing their financial performance periodically and assisting in identifying trends and researching discrepancies.
    • Assist with audit activities regarding internal controls, SOP compliance and other compliance analysis, as needed.
    • Ability to conduct business travel when necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in finance, data analysis or related field, MBA and/or CPA a plus.
    • A minimum of three years experience in financial accounting/analysis in positions of increasing responsibility.
    • Experience in working with different departments and cross-functional teams, including people development skills and leadership qualities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities between multiple levels of management and demands.
    • Strong computer skills (Google, Excel, etc.) and experience with SAP and/or ERP systems.
    • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
