- Sweep, vacuum, shampoo, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
- Clean baseboards, kick-plates, and floor equipment.
- Mix chemicals and cleaning solutions to scrub & strip floors, wash windows, walls, ceilings, and doors.
- Clean desks and countertops as needed.
- Pick up papers and other debris, and empty and clean waste receptacles as needed.
- Clean and scrub restroom flooring.
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment.
- Lock and unlock doors; turn lights and machines on and off; set alarms.
- Operate light duty equipment and machinery, and clean and care for it.
- Will work outside as needed to clear sidewalks and parking lots during inclement weather days. This includes snow, ice, mud, etc. Also, may assist with grounds keeping.

Job Overview:
The Floor Technician keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition. The Floor Technician performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, carpet extraction, stripping and waxing floors, and scrub & recoat on floors. Other duties will include performing routine maintenance on floor equipment, notifying management of need for repairs, assisting maintenance department with grounds keeping, and other duties as needed.
