Position ObjectiveTo assist in building and maintaining non-energized powerlines, transmission lines, and substations.

Hours:

• Workday 6am to 4pm

Compensation for Lineman

• $15.00/hr-$30.00/hr

Duties include:Candidate will be working outdoors, building and maintain non-energized power structures from the ground up by digging holes for poles with a digger derrick truck, pulling wire, working out of an aerial bucket truck, string wire, running conduit for a substation, digging trenches or climbing poles to repair or maintain underground and overhead electrical cables and assisting job foreman where needed. Qualifications/Skills:

• Using Hand Tools and Small Power Tools
• Running Cable and Conduit
• Follow Procedures and Safety Precautions Regarding Electrical Safety
• Ability to Follow Oral and Written Instructions

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record (Must Pass MVR)
• Reliable Transportation
• 2yrs Minimum in Construction or Electrical Experience
• Steel-Toe Boots, Long Sleeves
• Good Verbal Communication Skills
• CDL a plus but not required

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Ability to Lift 100lbs and Climb
• Work Performed Outside Year Round
• Work Sites are located around Oakman, Northport, and Jasper AL
