Job Summary
We're looking for a talented Software Developer to join our team Our team is responsible for supporting the underlying foundational code that allows SAS products to interface with a number of host operating systems such as Windows and Linux as well as cloud storage providers like Amazon S3 ABS/ADLS and GCS In this specific role you will design develop test and deliver code in all of the aforementioned areas as well as assist SAS Technical Support by troubleshooting and resolving reported customer issues that fall within our teams purviewAs a Viya Host Systems Software Developer you will: Design and develop high quality testable scalable software solutions primarily in C within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices processes Actively involve other project stakeholders e.g executive leadership product managers project managers architects SMEs to ensure implementation satisfies both functional non-functional requirements consistent with established R&D standards Provide presentations demos to stakeholders appropriately Participate in project scoping estimation efforts scheduling track progress individual tasks alert stakeholders issues blocking preventing completion task Ensure caliber created through quality-focused mindset including code reviews safeguard integrity cross-product consistency developing automated tests appropriate level functional unit integration system performance collaborating closely quality engineers define review plans communicate updates plan cover changes related enhancements redesigns bug fixes Support internal external customers defect resolutions Collaboration technical writers author appropriate level design technical documentation satisfy internal external consumers Encouraged participate open source projects behalf SAS Embrace curiosity passion authenticity accountability values influence everything do
