    How You'll Make an Impact
    Cost cutting measures associated with automation programs (Field Service, Repair and Manufacturing).
    Automation Engineer specializing in programming complex robots for process/manufacturing cost-cutting applications.

    System Analysis and Design:
    Analyze production systems to find opportunities for automation and cost reduction. Design and develop automation solutions that integrate complex robots into existing manufacturing or operational processes.

    Programming and Configuration:
    Program, configure, and optimize robotic systems to perform complex tasks efficiently. Develop custom scripts or code to enhance robot functionality and adapt them to specific applications.

    Robot Installation and Integration:
    Supervise the installation and commissioning of robotic systems within production lines or operational settings. Integrate robots with other machinery, sensors, and control systems for seamless operation.

    Optimization and Maintenance:
    Continuously optimize robot performance, throughput, and efficiency by fine-tuning programming and configurations. Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure consistent and reliable operation of automated systems.

    Collaboration with multi-functional Teams: Work closely with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and other partners to ensure seamless integration of robotic systems.

    Collaborate with production, quality, and operations teams to understand requirements and optimize processes.
    What You Bring
    Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical), computer science, or a related field. Advanced (Master's or PhD) degree, or equivalent is a plus 10+ years industry experience.

    Automation Experience:
    Significant experience in automation engineering is essential. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems and processes across various industries.

    Project Management Skills:
    Strong project management skills are crucial for overseeing complex automation projects from conception to completion. Experience in planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication is valuable.

    Leadership Experience:
    Proven leadership experience is essential for a Lead Automation Engineer role. This includes managing teams of engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship, fostering collaboration, and driving team performance and development

    Technical Proficiency:

    In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), robotics, machine vision, and industrial control systems, is required.


    Software and Programming Skills:

    Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in automation, such as ladder logic, Python, C/C++, Java, or others, is important.

    Familiarity with software tools and platforms used in automation, such as Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley RSLogix, or others, is also beneficial.


    Problem-Solving Abilities:

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying issues, troubleshooting complex problems, and implementing effective solutions in automation systems.


    Regulatory Compliance Knowledge:

    Understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, such as ISO 9001, IEC 61508, ISA-95, and others, is important for ensuring compliance and safety in automation projects.


    Continuous Learning and Adaptability:
    The field of automation is constantly evolving with advancements in technology and industry trends.

    A Lead Automation Engineer should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies to stay abreast of industry developments.
