    Job Description


    SCOPE OF POSITION
    The RN - Clinical Supervisor, BHMA is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of their area.

    The Supervisor will assist the Practice Administrator and providers with the delivery of quality nursing services- daily MD assignments, care coordination with case management/discharge planners, ensure physicians complete all documentation in a timely manner, carry triage pager and assist with rotation of admits, consults, and transfers, assist with patient discharges.

    The Supervisor will ensure use of order sets, as well as provide patient education, and follow up with discharged patients timely.

    This individual will act as a liaison for the area with other departments in the hospital, patients, and families.

    In addition, the Supervisor will update appropriate areas of the schedule changes; assist with chart reviews for bonus or claims questions; assist with the development, revision, and compliance with policies and procedures for the department.

    The Supervisor will participate in performance improvement activities. The Supervisor will have supervision of clinical and clerical team members in the department. This person shall possess a thorough knowledge of nursing standards and policy and procedures. This position will demonstrate competency in the care of adult and geriatric patient populations.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing program, Master's degree preferred. Five years of varied clinical experience is required. Two years experience in Quality, Case Management, Utilization Review or similar field is preferred. In-depth knowledge of patient care process. Management experience, good communication, problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking skills.
    Valid and active RN licensure in appropriate state
    CPR required
