Additional Unit Specific Information:

Telemetry managed by RN; leukemia patients are 70% of our population, wide variety of rapidly changing acuity, Leukemia Pts often have special needs in terms of the number of blood products, antibiotics, and balancing everything can be challenging.

While this unit is not IMC, we have many patients who border on IMC level care rather than acute care.

Description:
Med Surg Oncology RN. Facility is no longer accepting candidates within a 50-mile radius. Do NOT submit candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the hospital. ALL RTO requests must be in the packet at the time of submission. Anything sent after, will not be approved. Cancer Center

Oncology experience is preferred but not required.

May work with a patient who is receiving chemotherapy but will not be the ones administering the chemotherapy. .

Epic EMR, scrub color:
navy. Ratios 1:3-4.IVS to interview, manage to offer. Saved for Brendan Scott - 5 week extension, $80.

Required Upon Submission:
Min 2 years of acute care (med/surg) experience. Every other weekend and (1) holiday required.

Submission Packet must show # of beds, Trauma Level and EMR on their Work History or they will be dropped.

BLS required, must be in packet at time of submission. Must have active MD/Compact license in packet at time of submission, no temp licenses allowed. COVID vaccine required. ONLY Medical Declination accepted, Must have signed and authorized documentation from Physician in packet or submission will be dropped. UMMS does not accept Religious Declinations. Flu Season has ended at UMMS and vaccines are no longer required.
