    * *Status: Full-time/Non-Exempt*/*Hourly** *Work Location: Burlington, NC.
    * *Work Schedule - M-F, 8 am-5 pm. No weekends**Description

    The CT Technologist provides quality care to patients undergoing CT procedures. Demonstrates full knowledge of CT procedures and equipment.

    *Duties and Responsibilities*· Facilitate the patient experience by greeting patients, explaining pre and post-procedure instructions, and verifying patients' identity. Utilize AIDET Principles in all patient and provider encounters.

    • Perform CT exams using proper protocols and positioning techniques, transporting patients safely, verifying the accuracy of orders, and documenting patient information.
    • Documenting patient's exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning, and recording the exam details in the electronic medical record system.
    • Conduct environmental and safety procedures including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment. Evaluate and maintain supply levels and practice safe patient maneuvers.
    • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols are followed
    • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
    • Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
    • Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide accurate diagnoses.
    • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Follow aseptic technique and infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications and societies.
    • Selecting the appropriate settings and adjusting the patients' positions accordingly.
    • Review images before sending to the physician to ensure a clear image of the area requested
    • Use ethical judgment and critical thinking skills to perform diagnostic imaging safely
    • Analyzing patient histories and completing screenings for pacemakers and injuries where metal objects were involved.
    • Preparing and administering contrast dyes.
    • Addressing patients' concerns and ensuring that they are comfortable and calm during scans.
    • Carrying out quality assurance procedures and implementing improvements as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    *Qualifications**Education: *Certified Radiologic Technologist; Board Certified in CT

    *Experience: *1 to 3 years' experience working as radiologic technologist with at least 1-year training in CT

    *Knowledge: *Consistently model AIDET principles, service excellence and service recovery. Consistently demonstrate commitment to safe practices while abiding by all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

    *Skills: *Basic computer skills including Email and the ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record Systems and PACS Systems. Use of CT equipment, contrast injectors and general office equipment. Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare setting is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. Willingness to stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology.

    *Licensure/Certification: *Board Certified RT (CT) in good standing with ARRT

    *Physical requirements: *Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling. Must be able to stand, stoop and lift, and walk without restrictions. Have the physical ability to stand and walk throughout the day and help lift and move patients*.

    *Conditions of employment: *This role works onsite. BLS Certification, Compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. Adherence to the Mission, Vision, and Values of DRI and professional representation of DRI.
