    Job Title
    Waste Water/Maintenance Mechanic III

    Responsible for repair, installation and general upkeep of complex, interrelated manufacturing machinery, facility equipment and/or building. Responsible for operation, repair, and general operations of wastewater treatment, air fume scrubbers, and chemical acid wash systems. Assist with various maintenance activities. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals and objectives. Maintains work area cleanliness. Requires a State Water License.

    Roles and Responsibilities:


    • Diagnose and repair, with or without schematic or manual, complex, interrelated process machinery; research and recommend efficient and cost effective solution to appropriate leader
    • Operate wastewater systems to comply with the current Industrial User Discharge Permit as issued by Upper Blackstone Clean Water (UBCW).
    • Operate air fume scrubbers to comply with the current Air Quality Plan Approval as issued by MassDEP.
    • Assist EHS Department with all services applicable to Line Items A and B.
    • Maintain data collection and submit paperwork as required.
    • Diagnose and repair (with or without schematic or manual) wastewater systems, air fume scrubbers, acid wash systems, and any related equipment.
    • Perform preventative maintenance such as calibrations, filter changes, etc.
    • Maintain inventories for chemicals, sensors, and other related peripherals.
    • Train and coach incoming personnel on department work instructions, processes, and procedures.
    • Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas as specified.
    • Recommend efficient and cost-effective solutions in all areas of concentration.
    • Perform internal and external facility equipment or building maintenance such as HVAC, painting, plumbing, welding etc.
    • Troubleshoot challenging manufacturing or facility equipment, recommend permanent solution to appropriate leader
    Job Requirements:

    Education:


    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
    • Relevant Vocational or Technical certification preferred
    Certification:


    • Must hold a current minimum 1-Industrial Wastewater license as issued by MassDEP. Qualifying licensing from other authorities that can be transferred is acceptable.
    Experience:


    • Five (5) years manufacturing machinery and building experience
    Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


    • Ability to provide and receive verbal and written instructions
    • Proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL and WORD.
    • Intermediate math, computer and time-management skills
    • Ability to self-direct work to complete project within defined time frame
    • Advanced knowledge of machine repair, electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, mill-wright and/or facility maintenance
    • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
    Target Hiring Range

    Hourly:
    USD USD 37.28
