The Buffalo VA Medical Center is recruiting for an Infectious Disease Physician.The position is accountable to the Chief of Medicine, for assuring the most effective delivery of state-of-the-art care by meeting or exceeding compliance standards.
The Department of Veterans Affairs- WNY VHA is seeking a part-time Infectious Diseases Physician at the Buffalo campus. This position requires outstanding teaching, clinical and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include supervision of Infectious Diseases fellows on the inpatient consultation service and in Infectious Diseases clinic, provision of primary outpatient care to patients with HIV/AIDS, participation in hospital-wide committees including the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committees, administrative responsibilities, lectures to Internal Medicine residents and Infectious Diseases fellows and telehealth consults to areas of our network that lack Infectious Diseases physicians.

Pay:
Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. Annual salary listed would be prorated to the hours worked for this part time role (20hours/week)
Retirement:
Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME:
Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)

Contract:
No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
