    Payroll Tax Analyst

    Duration: 6 months

    *Responsibilities for payroll tax analyst*
    Audit employee data, tax set ups, requests, and escalations
    Review and take appropriate action with notifications received from taxing jurisdictions
    Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports and reconciliations.
    Supports the Payroll Tax Team during quarter end processing
    Partners with internal payroll teams to identify tax corrections and amendments that require processing
    Researches and provides analysis details on variances between the payroll systems and the payroll tax outsourcer.


    Qualifications for payroll tax analyst:
    Multi-state Payroll tax experience
    Performs preliminary analysis and research for discrepancies and recommends solutions to senior team members
    Ensures that establishment complies with periodic tax payments, state and local information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements when filing amendments
    Maintain department specific files, audit documents and other clerical duties.
    2 to 3 years of experience in multi-state payroll, tax and/or accounting.

    Amend and correct previously filed payroll tax returns based on payroll adjustments.
    Interaction with Federal and State tax agencies.
    Researching and resolving differences with taxing agencies
    Demonstrated ability to remain organized and multi-task
    Good communication
    Degree Requirements Associate Degree or equivalent experience

    Certification Requirements:
    Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or FPC
