    Newark, NJ- 1-2 days per week on-site if local, open to remote if non local.

    The Market Data Procurement Manager will be responsible for analyzing market data requirements and developing recommendations to meet specific business needs. Work with other team members to implement the onboarding and continual review of existing market data vendors/suppliers. The incumbent will have direct interaction with internal investment professionals and external market data vendors. The Market Data Procurement Manager must have a working knowledge of financial markets; an excellent understanding of the type of business areas supported; and previous experience in the market data services business management industry.

    Responsibilities:
    Contract reviews (renewal and new)
    Review and identify to businesses any contractual restrictions and/or concerns with the agreement, including usage rights and business terms
    Negotiations (vendor fees, usage rights, business terms)
    Track renewals and auto renewals
    Internal coordination with stakeholders
    Contract intake and execution
    Contract termination requirements
    Contract compliance
    Inquiries regarding index data (access, cost, distribution, disclosure)
    Inquiries regarding market data usage rights
    New service requests, moves, changes
    Respond to User inquiries
    FITS/SPEND inventory updates

    Qualifications of Market Data Manager:
    • Strong working knowledge and hands on experience with the various market data vendors and their licensing policies, (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, S&P Global, FactSet, FTSE Russell, etc.).
    • FITS/SPEND Market Data Inventory System experience is a plus.
    • Strong relationship management experience both externally with market data vendors and internally with business stakeholders.
    • Working knowledge of exchange and index vendors' licensing policies a plus
    • Three to five years hands on experience working within market data business management industry or equivalent.
    • Able to work within a small group as well as independently to implement, and coordinate the delivery of financial market data, news, information and analysis services for the internal market data consumers.
    • Understanding of the financial industry and related financial terms to support market data needs.
    • Problem solving skills in terms of identifying and selecting alternative market data services.
    • Detail oriented and possess strong oral and written communications skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
    • Strong administrative skills to track and manage the use of market data services within the company.
    • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Office (E.g. Excel, Power Pivot, Word, Power Point).
