    The General Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical construction projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and delivery. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mechanical construction, strong leadership abilities, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Provide overall leadership and direction to mechanical construction teams, including field supervisors, foremen, and tradespeople, to ensure project objectives are met on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
    2. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, taking into account project scope, specifications, and client requirements.
    3. Oversee the mobilization and demobilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to support project activities and meet production targets.
    4. Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to monitor work progress, identify potential issues or risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project timelines and deliverables.
    5. Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations on all project sites, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all team members.
    6. Manage subcontractor relationships, including selection, procurement, and coordination, to ensure timely and efficient completion of subcontracted work in accordance with project requirements.
    7. Resolve conflicts, disputes, and other issues that may arise during construction activities, fostering positive working relationships and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
    8. Prepare and submit regular progress reports, updates, and documentation to project management and clients, keeping them informed of project status, milestones, and any deviations from the original plan.
    9. Provide leadership and mentorship to construction teams, promoting professional development and continuous improvement through training, coaching, and performance feedback.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
    • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related construction methodologies, materials, and equipment.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or similar tools.
    • Demonstrated commitment to safety, with relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
    • Ability to travel to project sites as needed and work flexible hours to accommodate project requirements.
