Job Summary
In a collaborative manner, the Medical Assistant with X-Ray will provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks.Responsibilities
+ Responsible for limited x-ray services as needed+ Under the direction of the clinical provider,+ perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy using established procedures and safety protocols to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
+ Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use,
- Patient Registration: Conduct patient registration which includes securing required paperwork insurance documentation verification insurance patient eligibility process co-pays schedule patient appointments assigned center coordinate provider referrals assigned Specialist answer questions regarding their care keep informed status.
- Patient Preparation rooming Inform technical staff patient flow Prepare patients examination conducting interviews verify information record medical history confirm purpose visit preliminary physical test vital signs escalate critical cases provider needed conduct point care testing flu strep urinalysis ECG HCG provide information provider.
- Stocking responsible stocking supplies maintenance exam rooms front desk reception area ensure providers have medical supplies needed complete order sheets maintain supply inventory levels regularly check expiration dates supplies Answer phone calls collect sort daily incoming outgoing postal correspondence ensure reception maintained Conduct courtesy call-backs follow up Perform opening closing duties including cashing out end-day communication securing building Follow operating instructions document daily controls calibration equipment maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs troubleshoot breakdowns preventive maintenance submit repair tickets as needed All other duties assigned Note this job description not inclusive duties position You may asked leaders perform other duties Management reserves revise position description time.
