    YOUR CHALLENGE
    As part of the construction of two large scale battery storage projects (Hagersville,300MW and Tilbury, 80 MW). Boralex is looking for site managers (1 per project).

    Reporting to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for supervising the construction of the Hagersville storage project located in the Town of Hagersville, Ontario, and of the Tilbury storage project located in the Municipality of Lakeshore, Ontario.


    Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

    Prioritize safety, environment and quality, and promote a strong safety culture across all activities performed on site by contractors and equipment suppliers.

    Ensure the Occupational Health and Safety structure is implemented, understood, and followed.
    Work proactively with contractors and suppliers to ensure construction schedule and progress is followed.
    Act as the principal representative of Boralex on site and manage multiple stakeholders impacted by the construction activities.
    Keep daily records of activities onsite and key discussions.
    In collaboration with Boralex's project manager, maintain and track progress of the project schedule.
    Audit the quality control procedures of contractors and suppliers including, documentation, and execution of the work to those procedures.

    Work with the Boralex Project Manager to manage the Requests for Information with Boralex engineering team, and issue Non-conformity reports as required.

    Host site visitors, including Boralex representatives, environmental and safety representatives, and project lenders.
    Coordinate communications between the contractor and equipment supplier on site, communicate directly with their site management personnel.
    Analyze cost tracking and invoices from the various stakeholders, prepare and submit budget forecasts for the project.
    In collaboration with Boralex's project manager, negotiate and interpret revisions, changes and additions to the contractual agreements.
    Manage a team of dedicated professionals across functions.

    YOUR SKILLS
    Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience);
    A minimum of five years of relevant experience in managing major projects (over $30M).;
    Relevant experience in the construction of renewable project is an asset.;
    Ability to work autonomously, developed organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent critical analysis skills.
    Strong interpersonal skills.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to effectively lead meetings.
    Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
    Valid driver's license.

    This position requires a full-time presence on the construction site, working hours and shifts are to be discussed.
