- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients regarding tax credit eligibility, compliance, structuring, and documentation.
- Analyze complex tax credit transactions and develop innovative strategies to optimize tax benefits for clients.
- Conduct thorough due diligence reviews to assess the feasibility and risks associated with tax credit projects.
- Draft and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents related to tax credit transactions.
- Represent clients in negotiations with government agencies, investors, and other stakeholders involved in tax credit projects.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and policies affecting tax credit programs and advise clients accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including tax professionals, accountants, and consultants, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff on tax credit matters.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing tax law, with a focus on tax credit programs.
- Proven track record of successfully structuring and closing tax credit transactions.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
