    Job Description:

    Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Credits Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax credit financing, renewable energy, affordable housing, and economic development with specific experience in tax credit programs such as Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits (HTC), New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), Renewable Energy Tax Credits, and other related incentives.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients regarding tax credit eligibility, compliance, structuring, and documentation.
    2. Analyze complex tax credit transactions and develop innovative strategies to optimize tax benefits for clients.
    3. Conduct thorough due diligence reviews to assess the feasibility and risks associated with tax credit projects.
    4. Draft and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents related to tax credit transactions.
    5. Represent clients in negotiations with government agencies, investors, and other stakeholders involved in tax credit projects.
    6. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and policies affecting tax credit programs and advise clients accordingly.
    7. Collaborate with internal teams, including tax professionals, accountants, and consultants, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
    8. Provide training and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff on tax credit matters.

    Qualifications:

    1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    2. Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing tax law, with a focus on tax credit programs.
    3. Proven track record of successfully structuring and closing tax credit transactions.
    4. Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.
    5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
