    **Requirements and Qualifications**:

    + The ideal candidate will have a strong background in professional and educational theatre, particularly musical theatre, a demonstrated passion for nurturing creativity in young people, and a desire to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and artists on exciting and enriching curricular and extracurricular theatre offerings.

    + Bachelors degree in specific content area; Masters degree or higher preferred

    + Washington State Teaching credential (or ability to obtain one) in content area preferred

    + Annual contract beginning in the Fall

    The ideal candidate will have a commitment to:

    + Teach Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Acting classes.

    + As part of Advanced Acting, and in conjunction with the Advanced Theatre Production class, supervise and mentor student-run One-Act Festival.

    + Select and secure rights to a title for the spring musical and fall play.

    + Direct the spring musical and fall play, starting with design meetings and auditions, through rehearsals, tech week, performances, and strike.

    + Coordinate with the design team to execute the Directors vision.

    + Coordinate rehearsal and production schedule with Technical Director and Assistant Vice Principal of Student Life.

    + Create and maintain a positive and organized audition experience and rehearsal environment.

    + Work with and train the student stage management team.

    + Work with Marketing Crew to publicize the spring musical and fall play to school, alumni, local grade schools and community.

    + Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities and work toward consensus with team members of the Performing and Fine Arts Department.

    + Collaborate with Performing Arts faculty on programming and marketing for the annual fundraiser, Spotlight Cabaret.

    + Structure student learning to meet standards as set by the archdiocese and school.

    + Create common formative and summative assessments with department team members.

    + Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

    + Strategize for enrichment/intervention to meet the needs of all students.

    + Utilize technology (interactive boards, one-to-one devices, Google Suite) to inform instruction.

    + Work with parent volunteer group (PALS) to coordinate musical welcome dinner and tech week meals for all productions.

    + Coordinate drama department tours for the schools Open House.

    + Troupe Director for International Thespian Society troupe.
