    Program Statement:

As a part of our Emergency Services Assistance Program, Bishop Cosgrove Center is an outgrowth of the ministry and service of several city of Cleveland parishes. As the parish ministry grew to feed more and more persons, the program moved under the direction of Catholic Charities.

Bishop Cosgrove Center not only provides meals but addresses other needs of the poor and the homeless such as, pantry, clothing, emergency funding for rent and utilities, furniture, appliances, showers, mail services, and advocacy for issues related to housing and other human rights. Cosgrove offers day shelter to those experiencing homelessness whether they are sheltered or unsheltered and is part of the Cuyahoga County continuum of care for homeless services.

The center is a response to the human need. Our prayer is that with support and help of the larger community we will be able to serve needy people in accordance with our mission and as completely as possible.
