    • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – on-site
    • Shift: 12-hour nights
    • Hours per Week: 36
    • Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and major holidays

    Job Requirements (Registered Nurse / Telemetry RN)

    • Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
    • Travel Experience: 1 year of travel RN experience required
    • License: Active Virginia RN license or compact (multistate) RN license
    • Certification: BLS (AHA) required
    • Telemetry Competency: Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide typically available)
    • Preferred Qualifications: CAPD experience; EPIC EHR experience; ACLS and/or NIH Stroke Certification (preferred)
    • Additional Travel Requirement: Per facility travel policy, candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the worksite and provide proof of address at time of submission

    Responsibilities (Med/Surg Tele RN – Night Shift)

    • Perform initial and ongoing nursing assessments, develop and update individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
    • Provide safe, evidence-based acute care nursing for Med/Surg Tele patients, including continuous telemetry monitoring and escalation of care when indicated
    • Administer medications and treatments within RN scope of practice and per facility policies and procedures
    • Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias, rhythm changes, and acute changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment
    • Deliver patient and family education as appropriate
    • Collaborate with CNAs/sitters and assist with phlebotomy as needed to support unit operations
    • Float as needed to meet staffing and patient care needs
