Position Summary:

• This position is for a Clinical Supervisor to work in the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical and administrative oversight, supervision, guidance, and care coordination to staff in the CSU. This is full-time position, 40 hours a week and is exempt. The new hire for this position will receive a $5,000 bonus after a year of service This is a pro-rated amount to hours worked.

Essential Functions:

• Provides clinical oversight to the Crisis Stabilization Unit.
• Directly supervises clinicians to ensure the proper delivery of clinical services, including the provision of weekly individual supervision.
• Aids clinical supervisees in identifying professional development of goals and training needs, collaboratively monitor their progress and completes performance evaluations.
• Directly consults with the CSU team of staff to ensure the proper delivery of assessment and stabilization services to clients and families.
• Consults with staff on the referral process to ensure that clients meet medical necessity and are appropriate for intake.
• Provides clinical consultation for safe, effective, efficient, culturally competent and client centered implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Oversee and approves mental health clinical documentation from clinicians within established timelines and meeting all guidelines.
• Works closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure excellent documentation standards.
• Supports staff in collaborating with outside partners and providers around clinical issues (e.g., gathering collateral, discharge recommendations, care coordination, etc.).
• Interviews and hires CSU clinical staff and works with CSU Director and Milieu Manager to address staffing issues as they arise.
• Works in collaboration with the CSU Director around program development, program implementation, outreach and networking.
• Participates in all trainings and certifications, specific program meetings, clinical team meetings and staff meetings as required.
• Oversees clinicians' participation and completion of required trainings and certifications.
• Participates in CSU Admin ON-Call Rotation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Applied Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• This person must possess a license in the field of mental health (a master's or doctoral degree plus an MFT, LCSW, Ph.D.)
• Must be registered and have current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Minimum of 2-years post-licensure preferred.
• Must have completed BBS Supervisory Training Course.
• Two years of clinical work experience in a therapeutic setting with children, youth and families that have been or are involved in issues relating to abuse (verbal, physical, sexual, and neglect).
• At least one year of clinical supervisory and consultation of staff in a similar organization preferred.
• Must have awareness and experience with crisis, 5150/5585 holds.
• Must have awareness of trauma and substance abuse issues and how they impact a family system.
• Must have knowledge of DSM-V diagnosing, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and case management.
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
• Ability to work clients and staff from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
• Experience in or knowledge of psychological assessment preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and consultation skills.

Salary Information:

• This position has a salary range of $98,594.50 to $117,423.82 and dependent on years of clinical supervision and bilingual language skills.
