American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Parkersburg West Virginia.Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of an acute care facility Three procedure rooms staffed by teams of 2 RNs and 2 Radiology Techs Average of 13 cases per day including diagnostic and interventional procedures such as PCI TEEs balloon pumps pacemakers event recorders and defibrillators EPIC EMR is used for charting with EPIC CUPID for scheduling Shifts are 8-hour days staggered start times between 700am and900am On-call coverage required after scheduled shifts including nights and weekends with a3030-minute response time Full weekend call every third weekend and on-call every third day of the week Call also covers holiday coverage Primary responsibilities include circulating patient prep sedation starting IVsand all patient care needs during Cath Lab procedures Nurses do not scrub but sedate and circulate during cases Documentation in EPIC is performed both pre-and post-procedure Light blue scrubs provided staff must supply their own shoes shoe covers are provided Unitdepartment-specific orientation is1-220days Charge nurse manager provide team support manage case board Former employees must havea20-year break from any WVU Medicine location before reapplying Travelers may not work for WVUfor more than one cumulative year before requiringa20-year break
