    Description

    A Buyout Private Equity fund located in Los Angeles, California that operates in the Software space is looking to add on an Associate to their 35 person team (10+ on investment team currently). They are actively investing out of their 2nd fund valued at over $600 million that has been half way deployed and have plans for the 3rd fund to be raised later in 2024 with a value of over $1 billion. The team is looking for an Investment Banker with multiple years of experience, or an individual who is currently a PE/VC Associate looking to start over, to come in and join the team. Additionally, the firm offers a career track style opportunity within the organization and a competitive first year compensation package (~$260k all in).

    Private Equity Associate Responsibilities:

    • Diligence and execute private equity investment opportunities and transactions across various industries
    • Investment sourcing and evaluation including building and managing sourcing channels, deal flow, and helping prioritize transaction pipeline.
    • Financial modeling including analysis of financial statements, valuations, returns, and competitive ratios
    • Create investment presentations and transactions memos regarding new investment opportunities
    • Evaluate and monitor the ongoing performance of portfolio company investments
    • Participate in fund raising presentations and marketing

    Private Equity Associate Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 2 years of Investment Banking experience (ideally has received Associate Promotion)
    • Experience in software/tech (If Ivy League graduate from elite bank, just an interest in tech will do)
    • Strong GPA from a top university
    • Exceptional modeling and analytical skills
    • Ability to speak on tech companies currently in the market
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • A desire to live and work in Los Angeles.
    • (firm is open to PE Associates looking to lateral if have banking experience)
