    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Partners with assigned Loan Officer(s) to successfully manage Commercial Banking credit relationships. Grows revenue by successfully assisting in the closing of new business relationships and retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers. This individual is viewed as the credit risk manager for an assigned portfolio. Responsible for conducting relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Manage an assigned credit portfolio.
    • Underwrite all types of credit exposure, provide structure that is mutually suitable for bank and customer.
    • Expand existing relationships.
    • Managing credit risk.
    • Respond to prospect or customer credit questions.
    • Participates in joint sales calls with Loan Officer(s)
    • Identify customer needs.
    • Involved in customer and targeted customer prospect calling activities with Loan Officer(s) as appropriate (especially those with active new credit opportunities).
    • Handle most customer service requests for existing relationships.
    • Work with Loan Officer(s) on new and expanded credit facilities. This includes general underwriting, loan structuring, negotiating/pricing, collateral, and analyzing industry/credit risk.
    • Complete all requirements of loan booking, including negotiating terms, the review of loan documentation and assisting in the closing process.
    • Manage annual credit review schedule for team of Loan Officers. Prepares loan presentations and credit reviews as necessary.
    • Handle reporting on loans, involving such things as past dues, documentation and collateral exceptions, financial performance updates, portfolio profitability, etc.
    • Perform regular portfolio analysis as assigned and prepare monthly reports.
    • Work with respective Loan Officer(s) in the credit management of all Problem Assets.
    • Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assist others as needed. The position may be assigned other duties and responsibilities and may be assigned work or training at other assigned locations.

    Requirements

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
    • 3 to 5 years of commercial banking experience.
    • Experience in Commercial Real Estate and C I Underwriting.
    • Extensive knowledge of commercial lending policy, all applicable laws and regulations, credit quality standards, company and business line policies and procedures.
    • Strong relationship management and business development abilities, with thorough knowledge of credit products.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships.
    • Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills.
    • Initiative for follow up on required job functions to ensure that customer requirements are completed promptly and accurately.
    • Ability to operate office equipment including PC's, calculators, telephones, voice mail, copy and fax machines. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
