    Retail Pharmacist

    Position Details:

    Days: Thursday and Friday

    Hours: 9:00am-6:00pm

    This is a part-time retail pharmacist position

    Qualifications:

    Graduate of and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy/Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required

    Current registration and licensure by the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy or the ability to obtain licensure prior to employment

    We are willing to work with a pharmacy intern if set to graduate in 2024.

    Responsibilities:

    Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols. Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care.

    Participate in educational and professional programs and/or review professional literature on an ongoing basis to maintain knowledge and competency in current and developing techniques, professional standards, and the services offered by Valley Drugs.

    Performs pharmaceutical patient assessment (initial and reassessments)

    Develop plans to manage the patient's pharmaceutical care and executes the care plan

    Maintain rapport with ordering physicians. Inform the physicians and pertinent others of the changes in the patient's condition/status. Promote rational drug therapy to physicians.

    Develop technical knowledge of the products/services provided by the pharmacy and be able to provide information of the same to others upon request.

    Supervise and train pharmacy technicians to assure accurate order entry, preparation and proper technique of clinical services, and overall elevated patient care experiences in the pharmacy.

    Detect, monitor and report adverse drug events and medication errors

    Dispense the final product for administration and perform patient counseling

    Review medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy including, but not limited to: contraindications, allergies, dose, route, frequency, duplicate therapy and formulary status.

    Performs other duties as assigned

    Experience/Training:

    BLS and ACLS/PALS certification

    Immunization certification

    -Glucometer Competency

    Pay: $ $75.00 per hour
