    Description

    Postdoctoral researchers with (1) a chemistry background (drug synthesis/modification) or (2) a 3D printing biomedical engineering background, and (3) technicians.

    We are seeking highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researchers who are highly committed to developing successful research careers with:

    (1) a chemistry background, especially in drug synthesis/modification and structure-activity relationship (SAR);

    (2) a 3D printing biomedical engineering background, which can be applied to developing bone-related implants/devices. A person who can do basic programming for 3D printing or imaging construction would be preferred.

    We are also recruiting a (3) technician with a background in small animal surgery (e.g., bone defect surgery, tumor models with IV injections), imaging analysis (e.g., micro-CT, bioluminescence imaging), and histology analysis, or willing to learn.

    The postdoctoral researchers will be mentored by the Co-Directors (Dr. Shiladitya Sengupta and Dr. Hae Lin Jang) and faculty members at the Center for Engineered Therapeutics ), which is located at the rich ecosystem of Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST). The Center for Engineered Therapeutics provides an interdisciplinary research environment where biomedical engineers, biologists, chemists, pharmacists, material scientists, and clinicians work together to solve biological challenges with holistic and creative approaches. We develop novel biotechnologies for clinical translation based on the understanding of biological mechanisms. We love addressing exciting and hard problems that will have a high impact on patients' lives. Please check our publications (examples of our research articles include and )

    The center will provide training in experiment design, result analysis, scientific writing, and other guidance for career development. We are fully equipped for synthetic chemistry, pharmacology, molecular biology, material synthesis and characterization, biomedical engineering, immunochemistry, in vitro assays and in vivo studies. In addition to professional research training in the center, the researchers will be exposed to high-level seminars and conferences held at Harvard and MIT.

    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Postdoctoral researcher candidates will have completed highly relevant doctoral training in chemistry, pharmacy, or material science/biomedical engineering-related areas and awarded a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent prior to starting research at the center. Candidates who already have post-doctoral training experience are also eligible.

    Interested applicants should send a curriculum vitae to the Center for Engineered Therapeutics ), Dr. Shiladitya Sengupta ), and Dr. Hae Lin Jang ). Please also check our center website ("Join Us" section).

    Additional information: Preferred candidates will have a strong publication record.
