Our 24/7 shelters offer licensed counseling, emergency and extended-stay care, and court advocacy services for victims of domestic violence and their families, in Arapahoe County, Colorado.
Working with Gateway provides an opportunity to serve the community and support our mission to prevent and eliminate intimate partner violence through counseling, residential care, and empowering people for social change.

OPPORTUNITYUnder the direction of Extended Stay Shelter Director, our Case Manager provides case management services to victims of domestic violence that include crisis intervention, individual emotional support, advocacy and assist with gaining access to housing. Our Advocates are adept at handling crisis situations and working with diverse populations.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGCrisis intervention, screening and assessment services to victims of domestic violence, including intake into our residential services.
Provides advocacy support as needed; may serve as a liaison between local agencies and clients on an emergency basis.Assists with applying for benefits and securing necessary documentation.
Serves as a resource for housing applications and securing appropriate housing.
Maintains complete client files, including standard forms and progress notes.
Interacts with clients and resolves disputes using mediation skills.
Responsible for proper safety precautions and security procedures.
Understands trauma informed care and how to use it in crisis situations.
Develops awareness of community resources available to referral partners.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATIONBachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field preferred, but related work experience will be consideredA minimum of one-year experience in human services area with experience in counseling and crisis intervention, including a working knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence.

WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDINGExpected hourly range of $20.30 to $21.75 depending on experience and education.
