    Summary:

    We are seeking a motivated candidate to join our Pilot Plant operations team and support the design, construction, commissioning and operation of a new state-of-the-art facility. This facility will serve as a major technical hub of the business and will support execution of process characterization, validation studies as well as new technology evaluations as deemed necessary. Once the facility is online, you'll be responsible for routine pilot plan operations as well as contribute towards future plant expansion projects. The position will provide an opportunity for learning and development in a professional lab setting, contributing to development and commercialization of our company's life-saving therapeutics. The primary responsibility for this position will be the support of the pilot plant operations team with secondary opportunities to support the MSAT team.

    The ideal candidate should have experience with small - scale and/or large - scale bioprocess equipment, including stainless steel and single use mixing tanks, bioreactors, sterile filtration, chromatography systems, aseptic technique and be able to work well with others, communicate effectively both written and orally. Candidates may be requested to work during non-business hours/days to support extended growth and production activities.
    Essential Functions:
  • Actively support routine pilot plant operations.
  • Batch documentation within an electronic laboratory system.
  • Participate in scheduling discussions within the operations team.
  • Work collaboratively with process development scientists, MSAT colleagues and external partners as necessary.
  • Support safety and training initiatives.
  • Employs good housekeeping and helps manage materials supply chain as required for seamless PP operations.
    Requirements:
  • BS in Chemical/Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering/Biology/Chemistry or related discipline with 5+years of industry experience, Masters with 3+years of relevant experience.
  • Strong skills in laboratory experimentation and documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional team environments.
  • Lead technical projects or sub-teams including vendor interactions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new lab techniques, adhere to all safety guidelines, and pick up/move up 25lbs.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Power App, Power BI, Word, and Excel.

    Compensation:
    The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component.

    Salary Range: $111,000 – $126,000
