- Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring vehicle performance.
- Manage a team of drivers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs for vans and DOT vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, including driver qualifications, vehicle inspections, and record-keeping.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce operating costs.
- Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and other performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate accidents or incidents involving fleet vehicles and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet transportation needs and support company objectives.
- 3+ years of experience in fleet management, with a focus on vans and DOT vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is preferred but not required.
