    Job title: CATV Field Sweep Technician

    Description

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a skilled technician to join our team as a CATV Field Sweep Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience with production upgrades within a CATV OSP environment and be proficient in troubleshooting.

    The technician will be responsible for providing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance recommendations, coax splicing, installation, activation, and repair of HFC distribution systems. This includes assessing OSP hardware and infrastructure, performing head end and meter setup, diagnosing and repairing plant-related issues, and calculating system signal losses.

    Key Responsibilities

    The key responsibilities of this position include:

    • Maintenance of accurate records, reporting, and attention to detail
    • Ability to read and understand plant maps for CATV system designs
    • Capacity to work independently on projects and take direction from teammates

    Requirements

    The following requirements must be met:

    • 1-3 years' experience splicing hardline distribution coax is required
    • 1-3 years' experience in a HFC Sweep/Technician role within the Service Provider space is required
    • Must have experience with production upgrades within a CATV OSP environment and be proficient in troubleshooting

    This is a remote position when not traveling. Approximately 75% nationwide travel is required, typically 14 days on-site, travel days, and 5 days off at home.

    Candidates must be able to pass a DOT Medical Examination to obtain and maintain a DOT Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.
