    Summary

    Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, is looking to bring on an Associate in their Business Litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will be adept in full cycle litigation and have previous experience in Big Law. This is a hybrid role based out of the firm's office in Austin, TX.

    The Litigation Associate will be responsible for...

    • Represent clients in various stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, and trials.
    • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
    • Assist in case strategy development and analysis of legal issues.
    • Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
    • Manage case files, documents, and deadlines in accordance with firm procedures.
    • Stay current on legal developments, case law, and procedural rules relevant to general litigation practice.
    • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters.
    • Provide support to senior attorneys and partners on a wide range of litigation matters.
    • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all aspects of work.

    The Litigation Associate should have the following qualifications...

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the Texas state bar and in good standing.
    • 2-6 years of experience in general litigation practice.
    • Prior experience in Big Law is strongly preferred.
    • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
