    Purchasing & Procurement Manager at Wolters Kluwer in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description The Purchasing & Procurement Manager position is a high-visibility position with both internal customers and the external supply base.

    You will oversee supplier sourcing and contracting programs to ensure our requirements are met cost-effectively. You will work with Strategic Sourcing Leaders/Managers to ensure close understanding of category strategies. You will report to the Director, Purchasing/Procurement and work from your remote home office location.


    Essential duties:

    • Develop and manage purchasing strategies that leverage Wolters Kluwer's aggregate purchasing power to achieve optimal cost while meeting the requirements of the business in a timely manner.
    • Work with global internal and external customers, crossing cultural language barriers.
    • Coordinate with the internal business team and legal counsel to negotiate contracts that meet the legal requirements of Wolters Kluwer and our requirements of the business owner.
    • Establish and maintain supplier relationships.
    • Anticipate and communicate potential issues with complex purchases or changes to existing agreements with highcost impact and provide recommendations for appropriate solutions.
    • Identify and document requirements for procurement programs.
    • Lead the decisionmaking process among senior leadership on procurement projects.

    Qualifications:

    Experience:

    • 5 years of experience in sourcing, and procurement management
    • Experience in the field of Consulting, Legal and Professional Services, or IT services

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Information Technology, Legal, Supply Chain Management (Procurement) or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
