    What will you be doing?

    Objectives and Key Results

    You will have a direct and meaningful impact on the following key objectives at HPA:
    • Improving our occupancy and quality of occupancy base
    • Enhancing the health of our asset portfolio
    • Lowering our cost to maintain assets while providing quality resident experiences
    • Instilling a culture of excellence

    Responsibilities
    • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge operational and financial forecasts and analyses, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
    • Identify trends and opportunities for operational efficiencies and opportunities through analysis of complex datasets; create live, accessible executive-level reporting for monitoring key Operations KPIs
    • Work directly with key operational and financial stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
    • Educate teams on how to leverage data and analytics in day-to-day prioritization and decision-making
    • Work closely with partners to understand and maintain focus on the teams' analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
    • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity

    *Applicants holding a real estate license will need to have their license assigned to one of the company's brokerages after 30 days of employment.

    What we look for:

    Characteristics/skillsets we're looking for:
    • Highly experienced in operational and/or financial modeling
    • Highly resourceful and entrepreneurial - willing to roll up sleeves and figure out way to get it done
    • Analytical rigor and excellence (e.g., loves building models with best practices and bulletproof for adaptability and forecast accuracy)
    • Strong planning and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple deliverables
    • Able to communicate effectively cross-functionally and with senior executives, being able to give 5,000 ft summary and get into the details

    Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years of relevant work experience; ideally in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a strategy role in a high growth corporate environment
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights to senior executives
    • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Power BI
    • Experience with use of financial planning applications
    • Experience in real estate, particularly with single family rental home operators
