    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience, with on-call responsibilities and prior travel experience highly preferred.

    Responsibilities

    • 24-bed PACU unit in a hospital setting
    • Primary patient population includes orthopedic and general surgery cases
    • 10-hour evening shifts, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM, 4 shifts per week
    • On-call required
    • EMR: Epic
    • Floating required, including to sister campuses located within 15–20 minutes of the main facility
    • Travelers are welcomed into the unit and expected to function as core staff
    • No block scheduling requests accepted
    • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront — none will be approved after offer
    • Orientation begins on a Friday; includes remote orientation and an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID issuance, requiring the candidate to be local that day
    • Candidates must be fully flexible and willing to float to sister campuses

    Requirements

    • Active FL or compact RN license required; DL address must match the address on the Board of Nursing (BON) record
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required; ICU or ER experience also accepted
    • Degree accreditation verification required, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
    • Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
    • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
    • Two professional references required — one within the past year, one may be older
    • Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
