    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Chest Pain Observation position requiring a minimum of one year recent specialty experience and a compact or NC RN license.

    Responsibilities
    Work in the Chest Pain Observation unit within a progressive care (PCU) hospital setting
    Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
    Located in a specialized unit focused on chest pain observation
    Patient care emphasizing cardiac monitoring and progressive care protocols
    Responsible for monitoring and caring for cardiac patients under observation for chest pain in a progressive care environment
    Role may involve collaboration with other team members and departments focused on cardiac care
    Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment
    Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as part of the schedule

    Requirements
    Active NC or compact RN license required
    Minimum of one year recent experience in PCU or telemetry required
    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA or ARC required
    NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
    Must provide valid US Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
    No work history gaps longer than 90 days in the past 12 months
    Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
    Professional reference required
